"Bridge and wall, c.1760. Probably by John Smeaton. Squared stone. 3 segmental arches with slightly-recessed voussoirs and stepped keystones. Large keyed oculus between southern arches; smaller semicircular- arches of similar form flank northern arch, with paved inverts well above normal river level. Battered semi- octagonal cutwaters...." -
