Thornbird Railings, Pipewellgate, NE8

  • Description

"Another of the public artworks in Gateshead Riverside Park* the railings, by Marcela Livingston (2005), "consist of 25 panels featuring a repetitive pattern, representing falling leaves or a winged bird". Doesn't look much like a falling leaf to me - see also [[4398867]] and [[4398871]]. * See [[4349160]], [[4350744]] and [[4350749]]." Photo by Mike Quinn, 2015.
