'Seedling' sculpture, Saltwell Park

  • Description

"A sculpture in Portland Stone by Daniel Clahane (b. 1966, London). 'It is about nurturing and protecting, with the hand gently cupping and holding the head as though it were that of an infant'. It was originally commissioned for the Gateshead Sculpture Festival in 2006." Photo by Andrew Curtis, 2009.
