'Goats', Gateshead Riverside Park
-
Description
"A herd of recycled metal goats by Sally Matthews (1992) forage in the woods of Rabbit Banks above Pipwellgate. One possible derivation of the place-name, Gateshead, is 'where goats once grazed on the headland'. There was once a Goat Inn on Bottle Bank." Photo by Andrew Curtis, 2011. -
