Drury Lane

  • Description

"This narrow access lane, which opens off Mosley Street, then turns to run parallel to it, was named after its London counterpart. As in London, Newcastle's first Theatre Royal was situated nearby but was demolished by Richard Grainger in the 1830s in the building of Grey Street, where he built a new theatre."
