    Name: William Stewart alias Patterson Arrested for: not given Arrested at: North Shields Police Station Arrested on: 14 November 1907 Tyne and Wear Archives ref: DX1388-1-115-William Stewart AKA Patterson The Shields Daily News for 14 November 1907 reports: “WANTED AN OWNER. William Stewart, a labourer, no address, was charged at North Shields Police Court today with having stolen on the 13th inst., a shirt, a singlet, and a pair of drawers, the property of some person or persons at present unknown. On the application of Chief Constable Huish, the accused was remanded for 8 days to enable the police to find an owner”.
