Jesmond library

  • Description

Originally opened on 30th May 1963, this wonderful listed building was designed by Henry Faulkner Brown. The library closed in 2013, but a group of residents put together a plan, formed a listed company and charity, and it reopened at the end of 2013. It was bright, welcoming and busy on a rainy Thursday evening.
