Buckled Railway Lines
-
Description
Taken the morning after the fire started, this image shows the still smouldering remains of railway lines, which were damaged during the Great Timber Yard Fire, Hartlepool, 1922. So intense that it managed to buckle these steel tracks, the blaze is still smouldering in places, over 12 hours after it began.
