    Photograph of Church Street, West Hartlepool, showing the Exchange Building and Yorkshire Penny Bank, which has since been demolished. The photo shows tramlines running down the street for the electric tram system which was built in 1885. The Exchange Building still exists and is opposite the Shades Hotel. This photograph dates approximately between 1885 to 1905. Photograph taken from a glass plate negative.
