"The Grade 1 Listed Church of St Mary the Virgin at Woodhorn Northumberland is at risk. This beautiful and important building with parts dating back to the 11th century and much loved by the local community was recently put up for sale by current owners Northumberland County Council. No buyer was found and the County Council are currently discussing with Church Commissioners the possibility of removing the current restrictive covenants" (Nov. 2016)
