    "Rapidly designed in 1828, in hasty preparation for the royal visit of Louis Philippe, King of France, in 1832" The marble urns come from the Palace of Versailles - they had been broken at the time of the revolution, and later replaced by Napoleon - these were therefore surplus to requirements, later repaired by King Louis Philippe, and then given to his hosts here.
