  • Description

"The old bridge at Lesbury carried the A1068 over the River Aln. A scheduled ancient monument and listed grade I, the bridge is probably 15th century with 19th century alterations. The north arch, seen here from the cutwater refuge is over the river whilst the south arch is for flood." Photo by Michael Dibb, 2011, and licensed for reuse under a Creative Commons Licence.
