View of the 1st class smoking room looking forward on the 'Mauretania', c1907 (TWAM ref. ds.swh/5/3/4/2/B359). She was launched at the Wallsend yard of Swan Hunter & Wigham Richardson, 20 September 1906. The 'Mauretania' was one of the most famous ships ever built on Tyneside.
