Lion atop the Percy Tenantry Column, Alnwick

  • Description

The lion atop the column is remarkably similar to the one on the Lion Bridge adjacent to the castle. Note its tail erect and straight, and in original form. (The lion on the bridge took several tumbles from it and the tail is not in original condition).
