    "Statue and pedestal, c.1720, probably by James Gibbs. Lead statue on Portland stone base and sandstone pedestal. Lifesize figure of Justice, holding sword with renewed blade, and renewed scales, standing on plain base and pedestal with panelled dado. Probably made for Canon Edgeware, London, 1716 - 1720, by James Gibbs for James Brydges, first Duke of Chandos, demolished 1747. Several items were acquired at the sale of Canons and incorporated in Sir William Turner's Hospital...."
