Scotswood Road, the A6085
-
Description
"On the north bank of the River Tyne. The six spanned Scotswood Railway Bridge, in the background, is a disused railway bridge, formerly part of the Newcastle and Carlisle Railway, carrying the main line between the Scotswood and Blaydon stations. The bridge still carries water and gas mains but the rail lines have been removed and it is not possible to cross safely."
