NE30 29: George V pillar box, Tyneside Metro Station

  • Description

George V pillar box no NE30 29 in the old train station in Tynemouth, North Shields, NE30 2TF, now used as a Metro station. Another one in a good location - plenty to see, and sheltered from the elements! A market is held in the station each Sunday - the station remains open throughout. I couldn't read the manufacturer, it is too corroded, but I've included it in an insert.
