Newcastle Civic Centre

  • Description

Another shot from yesterday's trip to Newcastle. This is the Civic Centre in Newcastle, an interesting collection of 1960's (I think) architechture. The odd looking building on the left is the council chamber, a round room on stilts, connected to the main building by a corridor on the second floor. The underneath of the chamber is curved, and if you stand in the exact centre the echos are amazing. I called this place "work" for a year and a bit, with it's slightly-worrying lifts and canteen-in-a-basement. The view from the tenth floor is one of the best in the city for my money. Lens distortion cleared in Photoshop. http://vennphotography.blogspot.com/" >vennphotography.blogspot.com/
