war memorial, Bamburgh Castle 01

  • Description

the war memorial is in a niche towards the base of the great basalt rock Bamburgh Castle stands atop, just a few feet up from the park in front of the castle, reached by walking up rough stone steps to stand on a large, flat rock that the memorial sits on, so when you are in the park you have to look up to it sitting there in the shelter of the castle rock. As pretty a place as I have seen to remember the fallen.
