Tuxedo Princess floating nightclub leaves the River Tyne

  • Description

Footage of the iconic Tuxedo Princess floating nightclub leaving Gateshead's Quayside for the last time being guided through the Millennium Eye Tilting Bridge on Sunday 27th July 2008 at 0817hrs. Further evidence surely that the introduction of modern high profile buildings continue to take precedent over the historical grain of Newcastle and Gateshead's forgotten past. Should we be counting the days before the relocation of the North East's principle Training Centre for the Royal Navy: HMS Calliope? And was the Tuxedo pushed or did it jump???? RIP.
