Rita's story is about being conscripted into the ATS during World War II and how this changed her. Her story was inspired by objects from the North East Beat exhibition at Discovery Museum (http://www.twmuseums.org.uk/discovery/). It was also inspired by a uniform from the costume collection at Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums. Rita's story will be part of a new QR code trail of Culture Shock digital stories at Discovery Museum (http://www.twmuseums.org.uk/discovery/).
