Rutherford Memorial Fountain

  • Description

    Bigg Market, Newcastle. Designed by Charles E Errington to commemorate J H Rutherford, a Presbyterian Minister and temperance campaigner (ironic given current reputation of the Bigg Market). It was erected in 1894 in St Nicholas Square but moved here in 1902.
