West Hartlepool Leyland Bus

  • Description

In the late 1950's, The West Hartlepool Corporation (UK) started buying their buses from Leyland, previously having used Daimlers since the time Trolleybuses were phased out. The bodywork was still by Chas. Roe of Leeds, hence the similar appearance. Acrylic on canvas. As this painting is a miniature, the resolution does not allow for much enlargement. It is now in the private collection of John Meadley of Sevenoaks, England.
