The Royal Border Bridge, Berwick

  • Description

One of Robert Stephenson's masterpieces taking the East Coast Mainline over the Tweed at Berwick. The piers are built in the same way that Telford built his peirs for the Menai Suspension bridge around 25 years earlier. Very spectacular.
