This blustery Sunday saw me visiting Gateshead for my final shoot of the 'Get Carter' car park. Arrived bright and early, not a soul in sight. Now you are not supposed to go in it at all, if you go by the signs... Levels 1 and 2 only accessible now, everything else shuttered off with an efficiency rare for England. It s a disgrace this brilliant example of the brutalist style could not be saved. Well... it'll be another biiiig Tesco soon. Probably with a Starbucks inside. Isn't that nice?
