My Grandma And Grandad's Caravan In Wooler

  • Description

This is my Grandma and Grandad caravan, in Wooler, Northumberland. I have been going there all of my life. This is special to me because I have had lots of great memories there. For example, when ever we go up there we always walk around the cheviots with our dog. Additionally, if the weather is good, we often go in our dingy in the river right next to our caravan, while our dog chases stones in the river. While doing this, we often get out and go fishing as there is lots of fish there. And at the end of the day, I and my Dad cook the barbeque. So, over all our caravan has been a big part of my life. My Mam first started going to Wooler when she was 14 years old. At the time the caravan site was owned by one family and there were only about 150 caravans on it. There was a club and horse stables and that is all. Since she started going there it has been sold to a few different companies and each time the company has expanded the site. Most recently it is owned by Verdant Leisure and now has about 600 caravans, 18 lodges, 4 self catering pods and space for about 50 /60 touring caravans.
