A memory of Lee Allan about Boating Lake

  • Description

Boating lake- a memory of Lee Allan As a child, I remember visiting Boating Lake; too see my grandparents (whose home was on the nearby path). It has always been special to me, as we had so fun together there. I and my brothers used to play a game, when we would push a rubber dingy too the other side of the lake, and the first to get it back won. Boating lake is different now. Back when I was a child, people used to wind-surf across the water, but now people don`t. There used to be loads of fishermen there to, but now there are no fish left. I also remember that there used to be a bridge across the lake however it is gone now. Replacing the bridge, a park is at the back of the lake, which was never there when I was a child. If we weren`t playing games together, then we used to sit and watch the ripples of the lake. That was always relaxing! Now, more than thirty years later I am visiting Boating Lake, with my own children, telling them about the fun I had when I was their age. Together, my three boys and I play games beside the water, gazing at where their great grandparents once lived.. A memory belonging to… Lee Allan Written by… One of his three sons -Leo Allan
