Shilbottle Pant

    There are three pants in Shilbottle, all seem to date from 1868 and were erected by the Duke of Northumberland. Two are listed (Grade II), including this one. "Pant outside numer 6. Pant, dated 1868, for the Duke of Northumberland. Tooled squared stone. Small rectangular structure has round-arched recess with incised date in gable above; roof of large overlapped slabs with roll-moulded ridge. Tap replaced".
