Hartlepool Magnesia Works, 1944 - shaft kiln

  • Description

We've had a delve into our extensive photographic archive and unearthed these gems of the Steetley Magnesium works in Hartlepool. First of two batches, more to follow! Hartlepool Magnesia Works, 11th March 1944 - shaft kiln looking east. In distance right hand side is the hydration plant. Due to the high dolomite /doloma tonnage requirement from Coxhoe works (supplying the steel industry, Hartlepool works and the sister plant at Harrington) Photo No: 168935 From the http://collections.beamish.org.uk/" >Beamish Collections
