-
Description
We've had a delve into our extensive photographic archive and unearthed these gems of the Steetley Magnesium works in Hartlepool. Hartlepool Magnesia Works, 1963 - Desorption Tower - this wooden tower was used to release carbon dioxide from acid treated seawater thus reducing cabonate pick up in the reaction stage of the precipitation of magnesia.
