Hartlepool Magnesia Works, 1961 - Jetty Caisson

  • Description

We've had a delve into our extensive photographic archive and unearthed these gems of the Steetley Magnesium works in Hartlepool. Hartlepool Magnesia Works, 1961 - Jetty Caisson - contains the new seawater pumps. A total of 4 pumps were installed and the drive motors varied between 800/900 horse power. When new each pump was capable of delivering 18000 - 20000 gallons of seawater per minute to the process. Photo No: 168945 From the http://collections.beamish.org.uk/" >Beamish Collections
