STV Compton of Arsenal taking up position to meet Welsh attack. STV Lionel Smith (Arsenal) receives and is robbed of ball by Mel Griffiths. He runs out to the wing pursued by Smith. SV Nearer shot Griffiths finally beats Smith and passes inside. LV Clark of Man. City runs onto pass shoots for goal. Williams of Wolves (Wolverhampton Wanderers) dives onto ball and clears up the field. SV Milburn chasing ball - cleverly beats Barnes centres. SV Bailey scoring England's 1st goal.
