Description
Titles read: "MR CHURCHILL'S TOUR". Leeds and north east England. Various shots of Prime Minister Winston Churchill wearing RAF uniform and inspecting airmen at an RAF bomber station in the north east. Then in civvies he makes his inspection of a tank unit from the top of a Covenantor tank. He moves along the line of tanks, then takes the salute as tanks and aircraft go past in formation. Mr Churchill then pays a visit to a munitions factory, accompanied by Australian Minister of External Affairs, Dr Herbert Evatt. Churchill has a go at operating one of the machines, then the girl operator takes over. L/S as Churchill leaves the factory; a girl steps forward and presents him with a cigar. He gives her a kiss. M/S of Churchill standing at a microphone on the steps of Leeds Town Hall.
