    Part of the BREAK AWAY issue. Jarrow, Tyne and Wear. Old Cunarder, the Berengaria, is broken up at Jarvis Works. Breakers yards are providing work for Jarrow's large numbers of unemployed. Various shots of large funnel being torn off main body of liner. Various shots of men welding. General shots of the demolition process. A crane with a large magnet on lifts the scrap metal into wagons. A steam locomotive moves skips to foundry. Various shots of scrap going into enormous furnaces to make molten metal.
