    Item title reads: ""All through the town. Advent of Lent celebrated with Centuries-old Shrovetide Football Game. The tradespeople take no risk." Chester Le Street, Durham M/S street scene with shopkeepers boarding up their shops with wooden batons to protect windows. There is a high angle shot of a very crowded street and there seems to be a charge forward (as the game begins?) We then see a group of young men in winter coats and jackets, running along a stream chasing a ball to and fro in a mass free for all football match. Crowds watch from the sides and from a bridge.
