Part of issue HELP YOURSELF. Durham. Mrs Shepherd, wife of postmaster, delivers the mail after conscription of the postman. Various shots of Mrs S. doing the rounds, she pushes her baby daughter Patricia in her pram and carries the post in a satchel over her shoulder. The round is 11 miles and covers rural areas. We see Mrs. S pushing pram up muddy tracks.
