Description
Full title reads: "Newcastle-on-Tyne. Winter's Icy Crown. Jesmond Dene - noted beauty spot - takes on a fairylike beauty under its snow mantle." Jesmond Dene, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Tyne and Wear. Children walk along snow covered road with sledges. Shots of kiddies enjoying riding their sledges down a road with an incline. Shots of boys skidding / sliding along on snow. They all fall over in a big pile. Two men play golf in the snow. They appear to be playing with a lump of coal or a black stone so that they can see it against the snow. Two men look over the Jesmond Dene waterfall - made even more picturesque by the snowfall. N.B. Almost identical shots to those featured in 'Chilliest October for a Century!' - 31/88 90,000 historic films, all SEARCHABLE on YouTube at: http://www.youtube.com/britishpathe Join us on Facebook at: http://www.facebook.com/britishpathe Tweet us @britishpathe FILM ID:871.33 -
