Description
Newcastle (Newcastle-on-Tyne), Tyneside. GV. Two men working with mechanical earth flatteners which appear to break up stones. CV. Showing the small earth flattener in action. LV. Man standing on an elevated platform known as the Beanstack Hydraulic Platform. GV. Powerful bulldozer pushing a great mound of earth up the hill. CV. The front of the bulldozer with the earth tumbling out of the scoop. GV. Helicopter resting on a platform with men adjusting a pipe underneath. SV. The workmen fiddling with the piece of pipe under the aircraft. SV. Man tightening a device which holds the pipe. GV. Helicopter takes off from the platform and races off across the field. GV. The helicopter hovering over the spot where he intends to drop the pipe, which he does, and then swoops away. (Orig.
