    Full title reads: "Alnwick". Alnwick, Northumberland. A football is dropped to the crowd from the ramparts of Alnwick Castle. People parade with the ball to the playing area. The ball is kicked off for the start of the traditional Shrovetide game of "Football". Various shots of the rough and tumble game. People push and shove. Shots of people retrieving the ball from the river. MS of the two men who got the ball from the river. N.B. Item found in Unidentified Gazettes reel. Presumably from 1930s Gazettes.
