    Full title reads: "A Great Record! D. McLeod Wright wins Road Race from Morpeth to Newcastle for sixth year in succession." Morpeth, Northumberland to Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear. Crowds line street. Group of runners run along the road. Shot from car of leading runners. Other cars are following the race. Shot of runners as the run past the side of the car. High angle shot from stationary camera as the runners go past. Winners clapped as they cross the winning line. Shot of two runners - assumed to be the winner (Duncan McLeod Wright) and the runner up. Sound track missing. In Newcastle version only. There appears to have been a shorter, silent version of this item in Gazette 1882.
