    Type : Photograph Medium : Print-black-and-white Description : A view of the interior of St. Andrew's Church Newgate Street/St. Andrew's Street Newcastle upon Tyne taken in 1885. The photograph is looking east down the nave towards the Chancel. The Chancel arch has a chevron ornament around the top. The carved wooden rood screen runs across the width of the arch with a cross in the centre. The carved pulpit is to the left of the Chanel arch. The altar with a stained glass window behind can be seen in the background.
