    Type : Photograph Medium : Print-black-and-white Description : A photograph of one of the legs from a wooden table carved in the shape of a man wearing historic dress. The table was made by Gerrard Robinson a nineteenth century wood-carver who worked in Newcastle upon Tyne.Each of the legs of this table was carved into a character from a William Shakespeare play. It is not clear which character this is since the base on which the name would be carved cannot be seen clearly. Gerrard Robinson died in obscurity in a house in Pine Lane Newcastle upon Tyne in 1891. Robinson was a 'carver gilder and picture-frame maker Stepney Lane Argyle Street Newcastle upon Tyne.'
