Type : Lantern Slide Description : A view of the High Street Newburn taken c.1900. The Mechanics Institute is the building at the end of the High Street. There are two horse-drawn carts in the centre of the High Street with men standing beside them. There is a row of buildings on Clark's Hill to the right. The steps in the gap between the buildings lead up to St. Michael and All Angels church.
