Type : Photograph Medium : Print-black-and-white Description : A view of the interior of St. George's Street Osborne Road Jesmond taken c.1888. The photograph shows the choir stalls on the left-hand side of the Chancel. The organ is behind the stalls. The ornately carved woodwork in the Chancel is by Ralph Hedley. The mosaic floor is decorated with a variety of motifs. St. George's Church was paid for by Charles Mitchell and designed by Thomas Ralph Spence.
