Horse-drawn vehicles are on the road either travelling to or from the High Level Bridge. An arch of the railway bridge spans the width of the street. On the right pillar of the arch there are signs advertising 'Crossley Bros Ltd' and 'John Anderson Engineer' who have premises nearby.
