Type : Photograph Medium : Print-black-and-white Description : A photograph of the exterior of the Crown cinema Scotswood Road c.1971. The cinema is boarded up as it has been damaged by fire. The Crown cinema opened in 1910. A billiard hall was included as part of the complex. It was bought by the Essoldo circuit in 1945 and was used for bingo for five nights a week from 1961.
