    Type : Photograph Medium : Print-black-and-white Description : A view of Newcastle upon Tyne taken c.1890. The roof of the Fish Market is in the foreground to the left with other buildings on the Quayside to the right. In the centre there are the rears of buildings on the streets which lead up to the Keep and the Moot Hall. A large advertisment for 'Nestle's Food for Infants and Invalids' is situated below the Keep. The Moot Hall is to the right of the Keep. The tower of St. Nicholas Cathedral is in the background.Description and Views Collection : Local Studies Source of Information : Stephenson's engine was displayed on the High Level Bridge between 1881 and Sept 1896 and is visible on the extreme left-hand edge of the photograph just above mid point.
