The view is taken from the top of Newcastle Keep looking across the Moot Hall at the Tyne Bridge and towards Gateshead. The Moot Hall is the large rectangular building mostly in shadow in the bottom left half of the picture. The iconic arch of the Tyne Bridge is above it in the centre of the picture.
