062817: H.M.S Panther, Elswick Shipyard, Newcastle upon Tyne, 1885

    Description : H.M.S. Panther launched from Elswick Shipyard. Built by Armstrong's at Elswick, Newcastle upon Tyne. H.M.S Panther" was launched on 13 June 1885, and saw action in WWI. "Panther" was withdrawn from service in Oct.1918 only weeks before the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Allocated to Britain as a war reparation in 1920, she was immediately sold and scrapped in Italy.
