This is a small replacement to the original one that stood on the corner of Clarence Street. My mother used to worship at Christ church but she got into an argument with the priests at the time when she suggested that they should drop their titles ( Father C......s & Father G....s) as there is only one Father in Heaven. As they thought she was being petty, they refused. So my whole family were baptized at Christ church except me. A fact I didn't find out until 26 years later when I was getting married and had to prove I had been baptized, imagine my surprise to find out I was a Methodist.

Thanks for sharing that Ray - interesting to hear about the previous church on Clarence Street and a great personal story!
